DESCRIPTION: Kings Crossing is an Affordable Apartment ComplexComplex serving families with children of all ages and cultures. Because of the parents’ financial and educational background, the children face difficulties with school work and are in need of educational help.
HOMEWORK CENTER TUTOR
Volunteer Requirements: Culturally sensitive team player with cheerful attitude and ability to communicate effectively with children, parents and staff. Good writing skills highly desirable.
Volunteer Responsibilities: Assist the students to complete homework assignments in English, grammar, writing and math and provide general encouragement.
Dates/Times: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 3:00 – 4:30PM.
Requested Commitment – three months
Minimum age: 16. Suitable for High School Community Service Hours
SAN ANTONIO PLACE– AFFORDABLE HOUSING COMPLEX

DESCRIPTION: San Antonio Place is an Affordable Apartment Complex. A number of the residents are the most at risk among us – including children, the elderly, disabled and formerly homeless. Through the generous support of volunteers, and through programs such as job training, workshops, counseling and other assistance, the residents are able to work toward a brighter future.
Fingerprint/Background clearance required for volunteers over the age of 18
SPECIAL INTEREST VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Make a difference in the lives of Affordable Housing Residents. Share your passion by teaching – music, dance, yoga, arts and crafts, education, play the piano or other instrument. Provide entertainment.
Volunteer Responsibilities: Desired commit - one hour per week for minimum of four weeks.
