Description and Services:
Raising A Reader’s mission is to foster healthy brain development, parent-child bonding, and early literacy skills critical for school success by engaging parents in a routine of daily read-aloud activities with their children ages birth to five years. The program promotes a love of reading for parents and their preschoolers.
We provide interactive, on-site Raising A Reader for families at locations throughout Santa Clara County. Children and parents/caregivers are provided with book bags each week.
Please see the FIRST 5 Calender for Raising A Reader schedules.
