ABOUT
The Senior Nutrition Program serves hot, nutritious meals to seniors (age 60+) five days a week in a social environment at two sites in Santa Clara County. The program promotes the role of nutrition in preventative health and long term care and nutrition education is provided to seniors participating in the Senior Nutrition Program to support this promotional effort.
ELIGIBILITY
Suggested contribution for the meal is $3. Those accompanying a senior 60+ can eat for $8. Please call the nutrition site one day in advance for a reservation. If needed, we can arrange transportation to and from the nutrition site.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Volunteer opportunities include: Tables leaders, servers and kitchen support. Please contact volunteer@catholiccharitiesscc.org. All Catholic Charities volunteers are required to complete a background check and TB testing.
