Become an advocate for the poor.
From time to time Catholic Charities will issue alerts and ask community members to reach to legislators and public officials regarding policies or regulations that impact the poor in our community.
Calls to Action will be posted here and also sent to all those who join our email distribution list.
SAVE WUYC
The City of San Jose is threatening to close Washington United Youth Center due to the city’s current budget deficit.
Funded primarily by the City of San José since 1997 to operate its center, Catholic Charities’ mission has been to provide youth and their families with the support needed to be successful in school, in the workforce, and in the community.
Act today and contact San Jose’s Mayor and Councilmembers and tell them what an important hub for the community Washington United Youth Center is and about all of the activities that take place in this safe haven, in this beacon of hope.
Click here for a letter to send to the City Council.
