Friendly Visitor Program

Mission

To nurture friendship, reduce social isolation, and bring hope to
elderly persons in long-term care and to enrich the life of the
volunteer Friendly Visitor.

Services

The Friendly Visitor Program brings together volunteer visitors and frail, chronically ill residing in long term care (LTC) facilities in Santa Clara County who have no family or friends to visit them. Through its volunteers, the program reduces the loneliness of LTC residents and improves the quality of their lives. Visitors make a commitment to visit on a weekly basis for one to two hours a week.
