Housing

HousingIn Santa Clara County, the high cost of housing is a major contributor to high rates of poverty. For example, 120,000 households (one out of four) have to choose between paying the rent, buying food, or paying for health care. Catholic Charities helps the homeless, very low-income families, and the working poor find and keep safe, stable, and appropriate housing. In addition, through its Campaign to Cut Poverty in Santa Clara County, the agency works with other groups to promote the development of sufficient affordable housing in our area.
