Children, Youth & Family Development

The Children, Youth and Family Development Division serves all ages through a community-based approach. With over 30 locations and over 200 employees our scope impacts the community on a daily basis.

Our FIRST 5 programs provide the foundation for a successful life by helping children and their parents gain the tools they need to become self-sufficient adults through innovative programs and parenting classes. Our highly acclaimed CORAL afterschool program helps students in high-poverty neighborhoods achieve academic success through a focus on strong reading skills, lively enrichment activities, and active parent participation.  Our Youth Services have a special emphasis on youth and young adults. Through mentorship, support circles, and intervention, youth gain the tools and support they need to make healthy life decisions. Our Kinship and Family Wellness programs offer workshops, support groups, and various supports including case management for parents and caregivers/guardians. The Washington United Youth Center is a place that serves people all ages by providing classes, activities, sports, and various enriching opportunities.
