FUND DEVELOPMENT – ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT

Position Overview:  Provide administrative support to the Fund Development Team, who raise funds for social service agency that does life changing work.

Key Responsibilities:  Basic administrative assistance to include stuffing envelopes, acknowledgement generation, internet research, and graphical tasks.

Skills & Abilities:  Attention to detail, self-starter, and good listening skills.

Dates/Times 3 – 4 hours, 1 – 3 days per week. Request a minimum of 3 months – 6 months or as agreed with supervisor.

Age:  18 years.  Live scan/fingerprint/background clearance required.  Fee paid by Agency.


VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT SERVICES – ADMIN & DATA ENTRY ASSISTANT

Position Overview:  Position will provide data entry support for Volunteer Management Team which includes the office assistant and the Advocacy and Community Engagement program director/ to include data entry and records management.

Key Responsibilities:  Enter data/create record for new volunteers;   assist with maintaining volunteer files; assist in recording volunteers’ monthly service hours;  special projects as assigned.

Skills and Abilities:  Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;  accuracy valued over speed. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Dates/Times:  3 – 4 hours X 2 days per week, (10am – 2pm or as agreed) with 6 month minimum commit.

Age:  18 years – Live scan/fingerprint/background clearance.  Fee paid by Agency. Suitable for retiree/ and other interested adults.


IMMIGRATION LEGAL SERVICES / PROGRAM SUPPORT ASSISTANT/TRANSLATOR

Position Overview: Assist the Legal Services Staff by translating documents from foreign language (Spanish to English) and provide general administrative support.
 
Volunteer Responsibilities: Translating foreign documents to English; entering client information into program data base, copying, filing, mail sort/distribution and assist with case files.

Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in English and foreign language; basic computer (Windows) literacy; Microsoft Word and Excel; detail oriented; flexible and open to learning. Ability to work in a team and independently.

Requirements and Training: Live scan background clearance; maintain TB skin test clearance record; Complete Volunteer Application Packet.

Dates & Times: Minimum 5 hours per week
(weekdays between 9am – 5pm)


REFUGEE FOSTER CARE – ADMINISTRATIVE VOLUNTEER

Key Responsibilities:  Scanning and uploading files to online platform, Filing client paperwork for social workers,  Other admin/office tasks as requested by program manager

Skills and Abilities:  Cultural sensitivity, Uphold privacy frights and HIPPA standards,

Skills:  Administrative support, data entry, basic computer skills, Microsoft Office, Internet research, strong verbal & written communication skills

Requirements and Training: Live scan background and TB clearance.  Training/onboarding provided

Dates/Times/Commit:  5 – 10 hours weekly with minimum 6 month commit – as per arrangement with coordinator
