ABOUT

CORAL is a K-8 after-school program that focuses on improving academic achievement through literacy and homework support.  In addition, CORAL sports and other enrichment activities are provided at each of the 22 sites.  CORAL improves the academic achievement of young people through out-of-school programs by involving students, families, schools, and community based organizations.

SERVICES

  • CORAL: An after-school program functioning at many Santa Clara County public schools.  CORAL focuses on improving student achievement through balanced literacy and enrichment activities.

ELIGIBILITY

Students are referred to the program by the school administration and teachers.  Students whose reading levels scores are classified as far below basic, below basic, and basic are given first priority.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Literacy support, homework help, Sports Mentor and Caring Adults. Please contact volunteer@catholiccharitiesscc.org.  All Catholic Charities volunteers are required to complete a background check and TB testing.
